Cavan Town played host to hen parties from all over the country,one very lucky bride would win an amazing €20,000 in cash to spend on her wedding.
This years lucky hen was Louise Looney,Louise who lives in harmony heights and works locally in JP’s bar in Cavan Town, Louise is due to marry local man Sean Maloney in 2012.
Louise Looney fought off stiff competition to claim the big prize,Over a dozen hen parties took part in this years event,they arrived dressed in all their hen night accessories, The hens took part in different events in Cavan town over the weekend,finally on Sunday evening all parties congregated in the Market Square in Cavan town,a short list of candidates for the top prize was named.
These candidates were invited to take part in one more (very easy!) challenge,the winner of that challenge was deemed the top prize winner of an unbelievable €20,000 in cash!

4.The operator should ensure that the maximum number of persons is not exceeded and that there are sufficient attendants to supervise.
5.Ensure footwear, pin badges, glasses are removed by users.
6.Do not allow users to eat, drink or chew gum whilst on the equipment.
7.Do not allow persons to play on the step or the front apron.
8.Do not allow users to climb on the walls of the unit.
9. Ensure users comply with height restrictions.
10.Keep users off the equipment whilst it is being either inflated or deflated.
11.The consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited.

Halloween is a holiday that is celebrated on the night of October 31st.Children dress up in costumes,they go to people’s homes saying “Trick or treat!” they seek candy, sweets or some other type of goodies.
This practice originally involved a threat. A threat is when someone says that they will do something bad if they do not get what they want. In this case the threat could be explained as: “Give me a treat or I will play a trick on you.” Children today usually do not play tricks if they do not get treats. However some children still get up to mischief,they do things to make fun of people,like putting toilet paper in trees,removing gates from houses,writing on windows with soap or throwing eggs at people’s houses or something along those lines. People sometimes dress up as ghosts, witches, goblins and other scary things for Halloween.It has become very popular to have a halloween party.

Halloween has seen the release of many famous halloween films,this has led to character costumes been developed,that have developed with ,including Scream Costumes,Chucky Costumes And Michael Myers Costumes And Face Masks.
It all began when being chased by Detective Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon), serial killer and voodoo practitioner Charles Lee “Chucky” Ray (Brad Dourif), is shot and mortally wounded. Before dying in his human body,Ray takes cover inside a toy store, finds boxes of “Good Guy” dolls, he uses a voodoo ritual to transfer his soul into one of them. The toy store is then struck by lightning burning it the ground. A doll called “Chucky” is found by a homeless man,he is sold to Karen Barclay, who gives him to her son Andy as a birthday gift.
Now here’s where the craic starts… Get you Chucky Costume Out!
While Karen is working late at night,Andy’s aunt Maggie agrees to baby-sit.When she got Andy to bed, which keeps Chucky from watching a news story about Edward “Eddie” Caputo (his former accomplice who had left him stranded on foot the night he was killed), he causes Maggie to fall out a window to her death (by hitting her in the head with a child’s hammer).
The next day, apparently upon Chucky’s request, Andy visits the house of Eddie Caputo (Neil Giuntoli). As Andy urinates outside, Chucky is revealed as being alive. He sneaks into Eddie’s house and blows out the pilot light on the stove and turns up the gas; Eddie, in panicked self-defense, fires his gun and the house explodes, killing him.
Andy is questioned by police about his presence at the explosion; he blames it on Chucky, and is placed in a psychiatric ward for a few days. Karen believes that Chucky is the culprit after finding that there were no batteries in his back. Karen tells Chucky to talk to her, or else she is going to throw him in the fire. Chucky then comes alive in her hands, bites her, and runs out of the apartment.
Karen contacts Mike, who is now investigating Aunt Maggie’s death. Although he initially doubts her story, he becomes a firm believer after he is attacked by Chucky in his car, and survives only by shooting Chucky in the shoulder.
Chucky later meets with John (a.k.a. “Dr. Death”), his voodoo instructor from years past, and asks why his gunshot wound bled. John, under torture through a voodoo doll, informs him that his body is slowly conforming to that of a human’s, and that he will soon be trapped in the body if he doesn’t transfer his soul into the body of the first person to whom he revealed himself (which is Andy). Chucky says he’s going to be 6 years old again.
Chucky murders John and leaves to find Andy. Mike and Karen find John before he dies, learning that Andy is in danger and that the only way to stop Chucky is to destroy his heart.
Andy escapes from the psychiatric unit as Chucky brutally kills the head doctor. Mike and Karen rush back to the apartment hoping that Andy is there. Chucky reaches the apartment through the furnace and knocks Andy unconscious with a baseball bat to possess him. After a prolonged struggle, Chucky is thrown into the fireplace by Karen where Andy drops a match, setting Chucky on fire. Thinking that Chucky is dead, Andy and Karen go to help the injured Mike. The heavily burned Chucky attacks again, finally stopping when Mike shoots him through the heart as John instructed.
And that is the story so far..He went on to appear in Child’s Play 2,Child’s Play 3,Bride of Chucky and the Seed of Chucky.

Brian Cowen was born on 10th January 1960,he is the current Taoiseach of Ireland. He took office as Taoiseach on 7 May 2008, and was head of a coalition government led by Fianna Fáil which until 23 January 2011 had the support of the Green Party and independent TDs.He will remain Taoiseach until a new government is formed by the winners of the 2011 general election on 25 February. Cowen is not a candidate in that election and will retire from politics upon its conclusion.
Cowen was also leader of Fianna Fáil from 7 May 2008 until 22 January 2011, when he resigned under political pressure after a failed and highly controversial attempt at a cabinet reshuffle.
He was a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Laois–Offaly constituency from 1984 to 2011. He previously served as Minister for Labour (1992–93), Minister for Energy (1993), Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications (1993–94), Minister for Health and Children (1997–2000), Minister for Foreign Affairs (2000–04) and Minister for Finance (2004–08) and also as Tánaiste (2007–08). He became leader of Fianna Fáil on the resignation of Bertie Ahern. On 7 May 2008, following the resignation of Ahern as Taoiseach, Cowen was nominated by Dáil Éireann to replace him and was appointed by the President later that day.
As of 19 January 2011, Cowen is also the Minister for Foreign Affairs in his own government following the resignation of Micheál Martin.
Cowen’s administration coincided with the Irish financial and banking crises. He has generated substantial criticism for his failure to stem the tide of either crisis, ultimately culminating in his government’s formal request for financial rescue from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, widely seen in Ireland as a national humiliation. Cowen has brought record low levels of public support for Fianna Fáil, his government, and the Taoiseach himself. With approval as of January 2011 hovering between 8 and 10 percent, he is the least popular incumbent politician in the history of Irish opinion polling.”As taoiseach,” said The Sunday Times, “he has proved to be a dismal failure.”The Irish Independent has called Cowen “worst Taoiseach in the history of the State.”

Ahern was born in Drumcondra, Dublin. This is an area within the Dublin Central constituency where he has lived all his life.Bertie Ahern is the youngest of five children of Con Ahern and Julia Ahern (née Hourihane), both natives of County Cork. Con Ahern and Julia Hourihane were married in October 1937 and settled at Church Avenue, Drumcondra, where they resided for the rest of their lives.The other four children are Maurice, Kathleen, Noel and Eileen.In Dublin, Ahern’s father worked as a farm manager at All Hallows College, Drumcondra. Ahern’s brother Noel is also involved in politics and represents Dublin North West in Dáil Éireann.
Bertie Ahern’s father Con, was born into a farming family near Ballyfeard, which is located near Kinsale, County Cork, in 1904.His mother also came from a farming background and was from near Castledonovan, west County Cork. Ahern’s father, Con, initially left County Cork and went to Dublin in the early 1930s to train for the priesthood, but did not complete his studies with the Vincentian order.He had fought in the Civil War and was a supporter of Éamon de Valera and the Anti-Treaty IRA. Ahern and his wife separated in 1992. Until 2003, Ahern maintained a relationship with Celia Larkin. Ahern was the first Taoiseach to have a legal separation from his wife.
Ahern is a practising Roman Catholic. He attends Mass every Saturday evening in St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral in Dublin. However, he was publicly criticised by Cardinal Desmond Connell, then Archbishop of Dublin, for his public relationship with Larkin.
Larkin was appointed to the board of the National Consumer Agency in July 2005, on the recommendation of Ahern’s department.
Ahern is an enthusiastic and vocal fan of sport. He is a supporter of Dublin GAA and attends Dublin matches in Croke Park.He also supports Manchester United F.C. and attends matches at Old Trafford and rugby matches at Lansdowne Road. He appeared as a pundit on RTÉ Two’s The Premiership programme in 2001.
